How to import rows from a spreadsheet, a restore file or an AgroIT installation.
An import run belongs to one organization and one source. The sources are csv, xlsx, restore and agroit. A person needs dataImport.manage.
The app page is Imports, under the organization section. It accepts a spreadsheet or an NDJSON restore file, shows a column mapping, and can run as a dry run. The run list updates while the import is pending or running. Opening a run shows the row errors.
| Method | Path | What it does |
|---|---|---|
POST | /api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/imports | Preview a spreadsheet, or stage items and queue the run. |
GET | /api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/imports | List the latest runs. |
GET | /api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/imports/{importId} | Read one run, including counts. |
GET | /api/v1/organizations/{organizationId}/imports/{importId}/conflicts | Read the row errors of a run. |
get_import is also an MCP read tool.
A spreadsheet body can set preview to return columns and a suggested mapping without creating a run. A real run sends text for CSV and NDJSON, or fileBase64 for the first sheet of an XLSX file. Large sources send items in batches of at most 200 and pass the returned run.id as runId. The last batch sets finish to true. The worker applies one entity at a time, then the next.
A dry run writes inside a transaction that is rolled back. Counts are kept. A later entity in that dry run cannot resolve keys created by an earlier entity, because the key map is rolled back with the writes.
centrakit import csv ./customers.csv --org acme --dry-run
centrakit import agroit /path/to/Agro --org acme--org is the organization slug. agroit reads the installation on this machine and posts the mapped rows. --archive-dir writes administration 001 and the Test and Temp folders as raw NDJSON and does not import them. Pass --dry-run to count the rows without keeping them.
Shared targets cover customers, contacts, locations, bank accounts, products, assets and their identifiers, meter readings, inspections, trade cards and tasks. Block targets cover tax codes, payment terms, accounts, journals, documents, stock and the other import subjects the blocks already expose. A source names the entity and the external key. A second import of the same key updates the row when the source is newer.
AgroIT uses source agroit. Shared relations from Data000 use scope 000. The administration in Data002 uses scope 002, and its customer references resolve the shared scope. Machine specification fields are installed for that import only. They are not part of the brand template.
