How system administrators create feature flags at /admin/feature-flags, roll them out to a share of users and turn them on or off for single organizations.
Feature flags turn a feature on for some users or organizations while it rolls out. Manage them at /admin/feature-flags, under Admin > Platform > Feature Flags. What an organization pays for stays with its plan; flags only decide who sees a feature during a rollout.
| Term | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Key | The name the code checks, such as new_editor: lowercase letters, digits, dots, dashes or underscores, starting with a letter. |
| Enabled | A disabled flag is off for everyone, whatever its rollout or overrides. |
| Rollout percentage | The share of users the flag is on for. A user stays in or out of the rollout as long as the percentage does not drop below them. |
| Organization override | Turns the flag on or off for every user of one organization, before the rollout is checked. |
Flags are stored by the better-supabase flags module. The same rules decide a flag in the app and in database policies.
Saving a flag with an existing key changes that flag.
Select Delete to remove a flag with its overrides.
| Key | Effect |
|---|---|
platform.admin.access | Opens the admin area. |
platform.flag.manage | Shows the Feature Flags page and creates, changes and deletes flags. |
Every change is checked on the server and recorded in the audit log.
