Quote status runs on the state machine now, and quote storage and transitions move onto the quotes block over CentraKit's own tables once better-supabase lets the app keep its totals, copies line columns into version lines and carries quote details into invoices.
ADR 0037 kept quotes on CentraKit storage because the quotes block revised a sent quote into a new row and had no document discounts, VAT-inclusive prices, deposits, optional lines, sections or portal decisions. better-supabase 0.36 to 0.41 closed those items: one working copy with publish on the same link and unpublished changes, version lines as rows with ids, document discounts and tax per rate, VAT-inclusive prices, fixed and pay-first deposits, sections, optional lines, subscription periods, withdraw, service-role portalView and decide with the customer as actor, and actors on every status change the block makes.
A check of 0.41.0 against CentraKit found three things the block cannot carry yet:
invoices.fromQuote makes deposit invoices only from a percentage, copies only the block's line columns, turns the document discount into lines and finds earlier deposits by a column CentraKit does not use.Quote status runs on the state-machine block now: the quote machine guards public.quotes.status and reads public.quote_status_history with write: false, mapping the portal customer's name, email, IP address and user agent. CentraKit keeps writing the history rows until its transitions run in the quotes block.
Quote storage and transitions move onto the quotes block in one change once the library covers the three items above. The move maps the block as follows:
tables.quotes, lines, versions and versionLines map over quotes, quote_lines, quote_versions and quote_version_lines, with workingCopy and versionLines on, so inventory holds and accepted optional lines keep pointing at version line ids.section text of the lines below them, discount and deposit kinds become nullable basis points and amounts, deposit_required_to_accept maps to depositRequired, and the acceptance columns become the block's decision columns.portalView and answers with decide and the customer as actor, after CentraKit's own portal access check. An accepted quote with a required deposit keeps getting its deposit invoice after acceptance.invoices.fromQuote, which copies subscription lines as quantity times periods. Quote to order stays CentraKit's, started from after_quote_accept.write: true, and CentraKit drops its own history inserts.status.changed.fromQuote items is the trigger for the move. Per-action keys for sending, deciding and withdrawing, and sending or withdrawing a declined quote in one call, would let the database enforce CentraKit's permission split and keep the history without a draft step, but do not block it.Last updated on
